Segmenting and equalizing narratives in the ILO's standard?setting practice

In shaping the employment relationship internationally, ILO initially reproduced Western normative narrative of standard (SER). When global South and women gained a stronger voice within ILO, contrasting egalitarian emerged, challenging SER hegemony creating layering narratives. Combining historical institutionalism structuration theory, authors follow development these narratives consider how resultant legal conflicts between them can be explained by focusing on composition membership representation in International Labour Conferences over time.
